Charleston
Mon. afternoon Katie, Teddy, Isaiah, Jaeda, Kalea and I packed up the mini-van and headed to Charleston, SC. Thankfully we were following the Eagles bus because neither of us had a clue how to get there. A great 3 hour ride away, well.....almost. A bit of crying here and there. I think that Kalea and Isaiah were having a contest. lol. We finally arrived and headed straight for the pool. Another HOT day. It was great, even Jaeda loved swimming. Then Tues. after breakfast at the Waffle House (one of Steve's favorites) we headed for the beach. Again, thankfully we were following Diane, since again we had not a clue of where to go. It was Kalea's first time to the Atlantic Ocean. She LOVED it, especially the sand. She just couldn't eat enough of it. She loved going in deep and letting the waves splash over here, she laughed the whole time. Now Jaeda, well little Jaeda fell over when the first way hit her ankles. So, immediately she was done with the water and only wanted to play in the sand. She did end up digging herself a little "pool". She was quite content with some toys and sand. After a couple of hours it was time to head back and shower up for the game, the reason we were in Charleston. The guys had an Open cup game. First we all went to Chapel. Jaeda really thought she was special, sitting on daddy's lap in the locker room with all the players. Then the game, it was a blast, even with a 2 1/2 that didn't nap and a 6 month old that barely napped. The guys played so awesome! Unfortunately ending 2-1. Quoted from one of the guys "I feel robbed". Sadly the ref. made some questionable calls. And to end the day and a half of fun. We rode home on the Eagles bus. Jaeda wanted to ride on the bus so badly with the team, but she fell asleep before we left the parking lot.
